The public may obtain copies of criminal, civil, domestic relations /
family court(divorce decrees), probate and tax court case files, in addition
to marriage licenses.

Copies
/ Obtaining by Mail
To obtain copies of public records by mail, please address your request
to:

Please include in your request:
The case number;
The names of the parties at the time the case was filed;
The specific documents you want to receive;
The filing date or year filed;
The number of pages of the document to be copied, if known;
Your day-time phone number and/or e-mail address so we may contact you if any questions.
(If you do not have the above information, it may be necessary to
assess a $27.00 fee for each year to be researched and for each name researched.)
For copies of divorce decrees...
Please indicate whether you require just the divorce decree or if you
require the property settlement or custody agreement as well, and whether or not this is for a name change with the Social
Security Administration.
Once the appropriate fees have been assessed, you will be sent via mail, or e-mail if provided, a fee statement specific to your request.
The Clerk's Office accepts payment in the form of personal check, money order made payable to the Clerk of the Court, or by debit card or credit card
(MasterCard, Visa or American Express). To make payment by credit card, call the Credit Card Line at 602-372-6015.
Copy fees are $0.50 per page. In addition, there is a $27.00 charge to certify any document. If you are using the copy for legal or official
purposes, a certified copy may be required. Please contact the agency you are providing the copy to in order to determine if they require a
certified copy. Depending on the research required to fulfill your request, research fees may be applied. There will also be at least a $7.00
postage and handling fee applied when mailing the requested documents.
Requests may take up to 14 business days from the time we receive your payment for items requested.

(If you do not have the above information, it may be necessary to

NOTE: Certified copies cannot be faxed back.

Copies / Marriage Licenses
You may obtain a certified copy of a marriage license at the
Customer Service Center, 601 W. Jackson, Phoenix; the Southeast
office, 222 E. Javelina, Mesa; the Northeast office, 18380 N.
40th Street, Suite 120, Phoenix; the Northwest office, 14264 W.
Tierra Buena Lane, Surprise. The Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5
p.m. Monday through Friday.

Your request must include:
- The full legal name of the male and full legal name of the female
prior to the marriage;
The year the marriage took place;
The marriage license number shown at the bottom of the marriage license certificate, if known;
- If request is by mail, a personal check or money order payable to the Clerk of the Court
for $27.50, along with a business-size, self-addressed stamped
envelope (or a check for $7.00 for postage and handling instead of
a business-size, self-addressed stamped envelope). Business
checks may be rejected in lieu of a personal check.
