The Clerk of Court’s Office processes
and maintains records of bonds required of Notary Publics. However,
the Arizona Secretary of State is the agency which processes the
applications and issues the Notary Certificates.

Notary Public application, a copy of your bond, and $25.00 payment is mailed to the Sectary of State.
•
Your Original bond and $18.00 processing
fee is mailed to the Clerk of Court.
•
The bond is verified that is complete and
valid. It is held until the Sectary of State has completed the
application process.
•
The application process complete the Secretary
of State prints the Notary Certificate and sends it to the Clerk
of Court.
•
The certificates are matched with the bond,
verified and mailed.
•
The complete process takes
from 4 to 6 weeks
